Microbial degradation of lignin, a natural complex biopolymer, renewable raw material with wide range applications, has been mainly directed at fungal systems, nevertheless, recent studies have proposed the bacterial role in lignin and modification since bacteria possess remarkable environmental adaptability, various production enzymes biochemistry. An occurrence high proportion lignin-degrading genes confirmed actinobacteria proteobacteria classes by bioinformatics analysis, which points to probability undiscovered pathways enzymes. Because that, decomposition might be substantially different from decomposition. Bacteria capable belong actinomycetes, some Firmicutes, ?-proteobacteria, ?-proteobacteria. The responsible for are peroxidase, manganese-dependent versatile dye-decolourizing laccases. One main producers is pulp paper manufacturing industry. Lignolytic microorganisms identified diverse habitats, such as plants, soil, wood, gut. Bacterial strains Bacillus, Rhodococcus, Sterptomyces, Pseudomonas reported ability. This review aims describe degradation, species, included degradation. Several reports about species involved also highlighted, current state knowledge on industry reported.
